Pediatric Developmental Medicine

The Developmental Pediatrics team at Carle works with children and families with developmental or behavioral problems. Our exceptional staff assesses the needs of your child and develops an individualized treatment plan. Talk to your pediatrician to see if an evaluation is right for your child.

Prior to being seen by the Developmental Pediatrics team your child must have a referral sent to Developmental Pediatrics by your child's Primary Care Provider (PCP). The referral will be reviewed and if accepted you will be sent a packet of paperwork to be completed. Once the paperwork is completed and returned it will be reviewed by our Developmental Pediatrics team to determine if our team is the most appropriate to serve your child’s needs. Following that a consult will be scheduled with one of our Developmental Pediatricians. If the referral is not appropriate for our team, we will advise the referring team and suggest other options for more appropriate care.
