Epilepsy Center
Carle Foundation Hospital is the only accredited Level 3 Epilepsy Center for treating adult epilepsy in east central Illinois. Our providers use a comprehensive team approach to diagnosis and treat the most complex cases of epilepsy. The Carle Neuroscience Institute Epilepsy Center is here to help you better understand your condition and give the targeted, individualized care you need.
Multiple Sclerosis Program
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. At Carle Health, our fellowship trained Mutiple Sclerosis specialist and team of neuroscience experts work with patients to develop a personalized treatment plan that manages the patient’s symptoms and preserves their quality of life. MS is an autoimmune condition that affects your central nervous system and can be difficult to diagnose, as symptoms often vary from person to person.
Neuro-Ophthalmology
Almost half of the brain is used for vision-related activities including sight and eye movement. Carle Health neuro-ophthalmologists are specially trained in both neurology and ophthalmology and use leading edge techniques to treat disorders involving the eye and the brain such as brain injury, stroke, tumors, multiple sclerosis, migraines and more.
Neuropsychology
Clinical neuropsychology examines the relationship between brain anatomy and cognitive abilities such as attention/concentration, memory, problem solving and language, and how these abilities may be affected by injury or disease.
