Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Living with chronic lung disease can be challenging. With the right management program, you can lead a full and active life. Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program can help you control your disease and its symptoms. We will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that meets your needs. You’ll learn how to improve your exercise tolerance and level of activity through exercise classes that are supervised and closely monitored. We provide skill training and education on breathing techniques to help reduce shortness of breath, energy saving techniques, stress management, improving your diet, symptom management and understanding your medications. In addition, you will receive support from people who share the same disease/symptoms.

Smoking Cessation

Carle Health offers Beat the Pack™ Smoking Cessation Program [L1] to help you quit smoking. Beat the Pack™ provides a supportive and structured approach to quitting smoking. This medically sound program addresses the difficulties of quitting with a sensitive, encouraging style. Because no single technique is effective for all smokers, the program includes a variety of methods and support.

Beat the Pack consists of 4 weekly sessions in a small group setting and requires a Physician Referral. Smoking Cessation classes are held in Urbana, Danville, and Mattoon.
